The first half of this thesis contains studies on the biblical hospitality based on researches of other theologists and suggests a theology of “Love Crossing Hospitality” the author came up with after the studies. In addition, the latter half of this thesis contains details regarding New Family Project, the six-week project regarding welcoming newcomers and their settlement. First Baptist Church of Minneoloa is a sixty-year-old church that grew in membership during the late nineteen seventies into the nineteen nineties. After that period of growth, the church began to lose members. Through research and communication with a select group of church members, a four=part strategy proposal was created and presented to the church. The strategy focused on the church becoming more invitational, improving a guest’s first visit, changing stereotypical perceptions and perspectives, and hearing the concerns of millennial families. The strategy model described in the current edition of The Project in Ministry Design Handbook of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary was utilized for this project report. Additional purposes of this project were to develop and accomplish project goals and professional goals to strengthen the project director’s strategy development and professional leadership. The project director researched local demographics and cultural dynamics of the Lakeview community to determine ministry tartes for multiethnic church growth. Existing models of churches that include all culture and ethnicities were then explored to determine best practices. The project director completed the project by meeting three primary objectives. The first objective was to research the field of church member assimilation to determine essential skills needed. The second objective was to develop a training curriculum to equip selected leaders with assimilation skills. The final objective was to equip selected leaders of Fellowship of Montgomery in essential assimilation skills. The project director enlisted several experts in various areas to evaluate goals. He employed assessment instruments, including pretest, posttest, rubrics, reports, and an annotated bibliography, to evaluate the product and outcomes.
