It evaluates the process using materials developed for ten sessions and the use of 'A Religious Attitudes Inventory', by William E Crane and Henry Coffer, Jr.  Fourteen persons from First United Methodist Church, Wellsville, New York form the small group for this project.  Participants are encouraged to share their life stories using Biblical storytelling as a paradigm. Part II describes research conducted by means of convenience sampling using a 103-item questionnaire among 451 active Protestants and Roman Catholics fifty-five years of age and older in a midwestern community.  Factor analysis determined five dimensions of religiosity named orthodoxy, personal faith, treatment, satisfaction with life, and dissatisfaction with life. Comparison and correlation of factors and items found a positive attitude about life and more so about congregations.  Men want to feel more useful to their congregations.
