The project  was completed by meeting three project goals. The first goal was completed by researching the field of mentoring and identifying essential skills for mentor training. The second goal was accomplished by developing a curriculum designed to equip leaders of First Baptist Church De Soto, De Soto, Missouri, in mentoring skills. The third goal was accomplished by equipping selected leaders of First Baptist Church De Soto, De Soto, Missouri, in essential mentoring skills. Leaders were equipped through five sessions over a single-day workshop. Several evaluation metrics were utilized to ensure the project goals were met. Evaluation metrics, including expert evaluators, rubrics, pretests and posttests, and surveys, were used in the project. Two professional goals were also established. The equipping model was chosen to provide a lasting resource for training disciples. To accomplish this purpose, research was done in the field of disciple making. This research led to four primary disciple making skills; abiding faith, relational accountability, missional living, and intentional multiplication. From these skills, an eight-session curriculum was developed and implemented to train selected adults during a Friday night and Saturday\r\nmorning workshop.\r\n\r\nEvaluation for the project was accomplished through a pretest and posttest. Each participant took a test before the workshop began to assess their level of  understanding of disciple making. Once the curriculum was completed, the participants took the same test to determine what was learned. At the end of the workshop, each participant provided an evaluation of the workshop to determine the value of the training. The object of this pastoral essay is to make policy recommendations about evangelism based upon this writer’s interpretation of the Pauline conception of reconciliation as a major biblical theme that has significant implications for evangelism. The Southern Baptist Convention is currently in the midst of Bold Mission Thrust. One objective of this emphasis is to “evangelize and congregationalize.”...In October of 1978, the Sunday School Board of the Southern Baptist Convention also began a program emphasis targeted towards single adults. Discipleship is an element that this church has been missing. The church has used the Sunday morning pulpit and attendance in Sunday school as the discipleship strategy. The issue is the church has not had a strategy to intentionally help people grow closer and be changed by Jesus. The purpose of this strategy was to create a strategy which would promote intentional discipleship for the adults of Liberty Baptist Church. I will utilize demographic studies, research, and a strategy team to develop a strategy for Liberty Baptist. Participants individually prayed three groups of Psalms each day for 20 days during Advent 2023, including the Lord’s Prayer. Participants then completed open-ended surveys and discussed the experience in a focus group. First, I examined the attendance records of Stone Ridge to identify family units and developed and distributed a survey to parents to discover the spiritual needs of families. Second, I explored existing family ministry literature, interviewed two pastors, and determined the best practices of existing family ministry strategies. Third, I recruited and trained a strategy planning team of five church members who assisted me in developing a family ministry strategy for Stone Ridge using the internal audit of attendance records, survey results, and a list of best practices in family ministry. Fourth, I presented the family ministry strategy to the senior pastor and a group of selected parents for consideration. The project director explored the demographics of the area around Lake Mystic Baptist as well as the demographics of Lake Mystic Baptist Church to determine the current disciple-making results. Then, he researched existing disciplemaking methods to determine best practices and used a variety of strategic planning models to develop a disciple-making strategy  for Lake Mystic Baptist Church.
