The project director researched the field of expository preaching in a multigenerational worship context. He conducted a generational demographic study of the congregation. He developed and delivered a series of expository sermons. To ensure improvement in expository preaching skills the project director submitted both poutlines and videos of sermon deliveries to experts in the fields of expository preaching and multigenerational worship for analysis. The project director utilized the ministry skill enhancement model to design this project. The author researched the current understandings and models of collaboration for the purpose of developing a model of collaborative sermon preparation. Based on this research the author developed a multilevel approach to collaboration that included both face-to-face and online collaboration. The effectiveness of that model of sermon collaboration was studied by an AB study of six sermons developed by two teams. The research director researched the field of elder care and identified the best practices and developed materials to assist in the training of the selected participants. The director then used these materials to develop a four-session workshop whose subjects included: 'What is a caregiver?,' 'Suddenly you are a caregiver,' 'Encouraging spiritual growth,' and 'Creating a care plan.' Following the Ministry Skill Enhancement Model, the project director researched sermon invitations, including models, biblical rationale, and objections. The project director then developed his own model of a public invitation for expository sermons, with the public invitation as a natural extension of the exposition of the text. The project director used this model to write public invitations for six sermons delivered during regular worship services to the congregation at Old Zion Hill Baptist Church where the project director serves as pastor. The project director assembled a diverse group of individuals to evaluate the public sermon invitations. Open-ended interviews were conducted with five people with diverse grief experiences from the Protestant Evangelical, specifically Baptist, faith tradition. The results of the study found that most people depended on family and close friends as their primary source of support.  Some felt supported by their church, but most felt church members were uncomfortable with discussions about their grief.
