After discussing the biblical and theological mandates for apologetics as well as the development of the current postmodern worldview, a case is made that the church needs to respond with a well-reasoned worldview/philosophical argument for the authority and inspiration of the Bible.     A description of the project is given, describing the process from promotion to evaluation. The primary content of the project was a sermons series which was supplemented by an apologetics class. This work contains a brief description of the sermons and a synopsis of the major apologetic arguments of each.     The final chapter provides a description of the empirical data derived from the evaluation of a focus group, and the conclusions were clear. The first goal is to increase the students' knowledge of Bible doctrine.  The second goal is to strengthen the students' faith and love for God.  In the opening chapter, research is presented that demonstrates a widespread lack of doctrinal emphasis within evangelical churches.  Chapter two addresses the question as to why believers should study Bible doctrine.  Chapter three consists of a narrative of completed class sessions.
