Commentaries for each Sunday's set of readings for the three-year cycle were written.  Three periods of in-ministry testing of a congregation demonstrated  that the majority of congregational respondents benefitted from emphasis on the Old Testament message, and that lay and peer advisory group respondents grew in their appreciation of that message and its integration in their faith-life. The participants in the study had to practice what they were taught as an integral part of the study.  That is to say, they had to practice love for themselves, for their families, for their church, for their community, for their country, and for the world as a necessary part of the study.  There were ten participants and the object was to instill in them the principle that Christian love is only authentic when it is put into practice.  Thus the whole intent is that after the project, producing Christian love on various levels would become a natural and continuous way of life. It then presents a Bible study, written for college students, which addresses the theological issues in understandable language.  The Bible study was fieldpre-tested with twenty Students. A panel of lay persons plus a dialogue between biblical scholars made critical biblical scholarship available to the average believer using a video cassette recorder. Research involved perusing Vatican II documents and subsequent directives. Academic study of media production and related disciplines helped complete a new curriculum with a pilot video program which has been successfully field-tested. The researcher designed a curriculum on the canonical approach advocated by Brevard Childs.  Questionnaires tested the clergy and laity before and after the intervention of the approach in preaching. Results indicated that out of 20 questions for the clergy no significant changes took place.  With regard to 10 questions for the laity two showed a significant change. Data gathered from 28 participants by an original questionnaire was analyzed in order to determine: if the group had a positive effect; which of Clebsch and Jaekle's four functions of pastoral care was most in effect; what variables (classifying and Pruyser's seven diagnostic) were most related to positive effect; and what program resources were reported as having the most positive effect.
