There is strong possibility that his given Christian name during the Arcanum period was Theophilus (viz his writings). His mentor, John the Evangelist, he called 'Theologus' or 'Hierotheus'. The purpose further is to explore the creative and dynamic tension between these three in global ministry, urban ministry, the life of the judicatory, and the life of the congregation. One result of the study is the realization that mission itself is an agent of renewal for the church. When mission occurs, the church is converted as powerfully as the convert. The conclusion identifies leadership not as authoritarian or as managerial, but as a new style of leadership for a new time. The new style is modeled after the apostles Peter and Paul, symbolized by their meeting at the Jerusalem Council described in the book of Acts, chapter 15."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Andover Newton Theological School"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["63ab0f5c-c5fb-460c-b8ba-dd2fd91f7145"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791134111295864832,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:29:59.181Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T21:06:10Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:06:23Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"8f700480-3c7e-45a3-99d4-865f189fa697","accessControl_ssim":["b61e3445-bc3e-4c5d-807e-5c4467afa9dc"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Developing a congregational identity at Oakwood Baptist Church in New Braunfels, Texas, after a period of rapid expansion"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T21:06:09Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T02:20:03Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["2fb8469a-8630-4190-9b84-0c82396f703c"],"hasLease_ssim":["8d90f97e-49ff-461f-b9f0-52b0141be810"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Southern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Thom S Rainer"],"year_tesim":["2001"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["M Shawn Corzine"],"publisher_tesim":["Southern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Bible. The project proposes that a series of twelve sermons covering all twenty-eight chapters of Acts can influence people's attitudes regarding witnessing and personal involvement in Christian evangelism. The research discloses information necessary to create the twelve persuasive sermons and the instrument measuring attitude change. A group within a church congregation participated in this project by taking a pretest and posttest version of the measuring instrument. The assessment of that instrument reveals the sermon series influenced people's attitudes favorably towards witnessing and personal involvement in Jesus' evangelistic cause."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Dallas Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["8322f611-a593-413a-8bcd-0011fba52dc7"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791129886716329984,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:22:50.308Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T19:52:17Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T02:13:42Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"18f1b20f-f9f3-42a5-8b6f-e40d4fc5b491","accessControl_ssim":["921338f2-9e81-4d18-b3b3-39221f23c2e0"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Exploring the narrative sermon from the Book of Acts"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T19:52:16Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T22:51:39Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["5360ab99-5251-4dd0-81d7-0429d0b542cd"],"hasLease_ssim":["05043382-ea82-40cc-8e07-76913eb11a69"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Trinity Evangelical Divinity School"],"advisor_tesim":["David L Larsen"],"year_tesim":["2000"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Randall A Boltinghouse"],"publisher_tesim":["Trinity Evangelical Divinity School of Trinity International University"],"subject_tesim":["Narrative preaching","Bible.
