A significant part of their jobs is to preach in churches on a regular basis both for deputation purposes and for teaching and equipping believers. A concern raised by some missionaries is that they are not fully prepared for this role. This program is one step toward trying to address those concerns. The majority of the work was spent in researching and writing a commentary on Romans 9-11. This portion of Scripture for a missionary to the Jews is crucial in understanding both God's plan for Israel and the importance and priority of Jewish evangelism. It also is a place where the Apostle Paul shares his heart, regarding his Jewish brethren, to his readers. The project concludes by detailing a six day preaching seminar for missionaries to Chosen People Ministries. The conclusion takes into account feedback received from the staff who participated."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["31b95ee0-a31c-43dc-8ec9-d97b30239a2d"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791132677548539904,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:07:11.854Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T09:36:11Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:13:43Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"aa27a36b-7f74-437f-940c-7df339fd6f4a","accessControl_ssim":["dfdd4bea-3ee8-4577-b0e4-f13e0200db44"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["The Apostle Paul's owning of the shadow in Romans 7:14-25: a Jungian reading and missiological implications"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T09:36:10Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T03:03:09Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["2686d7f5-e26f-49d2-bc19-208cf708c04b"],"hasLease_ssim":["8948620c-64ca-42db-9d1d-6f641e29ec7b"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["United Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Laurence L Welborn"],"year_tesim":["2004"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Seeyong Lee"],"publisher_tesim":["United Theological Seminary (OH)"],"subject_tesim":["Bible. Those participating in the study felt that they had developed a better understanding of themselves, their giftedness and their purpose and place in ministry."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["dacf5c07-78c8-4937-a01a-26cd044f9625"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791135321268682752,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:49:13.101Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T00:42:03Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:43:06Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"77b0b32d-54f3-410a-8ffb-e558e5197d5b","accessControl_ssim":["8b9a5e29-4a81-44bc-afe6-1e5f0de7eefd"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["A hermeneutical approach to crisis ministry in the local church"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T00:42:02Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T01:38:48Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["ce6185d0-713b-47b3-966b-14c094d04c12"],"hasLease_ssim":["aad63110-e779-430d-801d-856d22ab8ee5"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Candler School of Theology"],"advisor_tesim":["William Mallard"],"year_tesim":["1990"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Gene M Williams"],"keyword_tesim":["Crisis (Psychology)"],"publisher_tesim":["Candler School of Theology of Emory University"],"subject_tesim":["Bible. The basis for a twentieth-century hermeneutic is explored through Barth's 'Epistle to the Romans,' in which he posits that the hermeneutical key to Paul's letter is 'krisis.' Included is an exploration of Charles Gerkin's works on hermeneutics in pastoral care with theological emphasis. Crises stories from six persons and a biblical story are analyzed in group session by the methods obtained from Gerkin. The results were that most group members realized a changing of their story that helped find healing."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Candler School of Theology"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["1e360310-aec8-4e88-a19a-00b4db71ef4a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791134940200435712,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:43:09.686Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T23:55:20Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:35:21Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"3c40ad93-3c7e-4a2d-9694-61e8ccf8c410","accessControl_ssim":["5bd1c3be-10ce-44fb-8ad8-7bd1b7d7b9f9"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Training for lifestyle stewardship: a Bible study experience"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T23:55:19Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:52:39Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["ec0866de-865b-429d-a872-85d98eb4b669"],"hasLease_ssim":["a691071c-8dc4-424a-a046-e8753f13d198"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Richard Tholin"],"year_tesim":["1988"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Paul J Albers"],"publisher_tesim":["Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Bible. A statistical review of Lutheran lay people demonstrates a readiness for a broader understanding of stewardship. The evaluations reveal that the Bible study raises the consciousness that stewardship is a lifestyle.
