Its ministry takes place at Venus Gardens, a community of about 1,500 families.  The purpose of the thesis was to develop an educational program consisting of one introductory session and six weeks of lectures, workshops, a retreat and preaching service, to console and restore the lives of people who are suffering the experience of divorce.  Divorced people had the opportunity to get together and learn what Matthew 19:1-12 and other texts teach on divorce. This study identified a course of action for offering marriage enrichment to ministry couples.  A couples group was added to a Clinical Pastoral Education unit, an established course of study required by seminaries.  The method was a case study completed with six couples with pre and post testing.  While testing showed slight changes in the marriages, self report included many comments towards marital growth and management of ministry issues. The author created a program that employed a lecture series format incorporating techniques not usually used within church outreach programs, presented in an interactive, casual style, using a 'soft sell' approach.  The program revealed that these people can be reached spiritually.  Their reliance on story and relationship precludes the use of any formulaic approach.
