The project focuses on three tasks: 1) defining the role of RCIA sponsorship for St Paul's Parish; 2) designing and implementing a method of RCIA sponsor recruitment for the parish; and 3) designing and implementing an RCIA sponsor training program for St Paul's.  The document outlines the process involved in completing these three tasks, suggests a theological basis for sponsorship, and presents one model for recruiting and training RCIA sponsors. The project's methodology includes a study of pivotal church documents such as those from Vatican II, Medellin and Puebla.  The author concludes that the Roman Catholic branch of Latin American liberation theology is an expression of Catholic social thought.  In addition this theology is a new movement which grows out of a specific Latin American context. The central focus is a workshop methodology which is progressive in design, content, and format, and is based on principles of androgogy.  The workshops give: 1) an experience of shared Christian praxis by using the theme 'coming to know God'; 2) a knowledge, practical understanding and an opportunity to use shared Christian praxis; 3) a demonstration of how the Sadlier Religion Program uses shared Christian praxis as a teaching-learning process in the K-8 curriculum; 4) a redefinition of shared Christian praxis which enables classroom religion teachers to use the process effectively. The workshops are designed to educate religion teachers in Catholic school religion programs and in parishes. The design involved trustees as validators of selected words and of the content developed.  Thirty words-expressions were identified and developed as emanating out of Blueprints, a Catholic school leadership renewal process situated in western Canada.  This paper includes an extensive comparison (written in French) of Alberta's vocabulary with that of a sister province, Quebec. Commentaries for each Sunday's set of readings for the three-year cycle were written.  Three periods of in-ministry testing of a congregation demonstrated  that the majority of congregational respondents benefitted from emphasis on the Old Testament message, and that lay and peer advisory group respondents grew in their appreciation of that message and its integration in their faith-life. Studying the images of the temple of the Holy Spirit, the body of Christ, and the people of God, the author discovers that the church was never meant to be a majority nor an elite.  Not the church structures, but the way in which they are used to pursue influence, power, and wealth, make obstacles to the emergence of the people of God. Part one analyzes the influence of the rite's theological anthropology and asceticism in ministering to the sick. Part two describes the five-session, in-service learning workshop. It articulated the characteristics of contemporary presidency at eucharist. The author designed, implemented and evaluated a five-day workshop on the topic for Roman Catholic priests.  The workshop included lectures, audio-visual critique and small group interaction among the participants.  The project demonstrated the need for continuing liturgical formation among Roman Catholic clergy.
