It describes how alcoholism is a shared disease, affecting not only the identified alcoholics but also the systems to which they belong. Using family systems theory, the study suggests parallels between family and church.  It shows that just as a family in the process of maintaining stability incorporates dysfunctional behavior, so too does the church. The goals of the study are to demonstrate the magnitude of the problem and describe the different ways the clergy minister to unchurched parents.  Fifteen parish clergy in the Archdiocese of Baltimore were interviewed.  The history of infant baptism along with current canon law is examined to put the unchurched parent problem in context. The project situates campus ministry in the current debate over the improvement of higher education. It draws on contemporary theology and the Roman Catholic Bishop's Pastoral Letter that calls for 'a new phase' in campus ministry.  Part two defines campus ministry with a faith stance and with a mission to care for the academic world.  It devotes one chapter to liturgy as pastoral care. Part three examines the context of ministry, especially ministry to commuters, in Manchester, New Hampshire. Part four evaluates campus ministry at St Ann Parish and Student Center, Boston, Massachusetts and at the Newman Center in Newark, New Jersey. As a result, 'Roman' diocesan structures are being replaced by more collaborative structures.  This study uses Noel Tichy's strategic rope model to examine the ramifications of such reorganizations.  It asserts that a staff development program must accompany reorganization if resistance is to be overcome and behavior changed.  The project links narrative theology to case studies.  A program emerges that fosters identity redefinition.  The program uses traditional third party cases and the case method proposed by organizational theorist Chris Argyris.  It integrates these into a format for theological reflection. It focuses on three aspects of the rite: the catechumenate, the andragogical elements involved in the communication of theology to adults, and the practical considerations necessary to develop an RCIA parish team.  The video project guides a parish RCIA team as it implements the recently introduced 'norm' for initiating new members into the Roman Catholic Church. The project focuses on three tasks: 1) defining the role of RCIA sponsorship for St Paul's Parish; 2) designing and implementing a method of RCIA sponsor recruitment for the parish; and 3) designing and implementing an RCIA sponsor training program for St Paul's.  The document outlines the process involved in completing these three tasks, suggests a theological basis for sponsorship, and presents one model for recruiting and training RCIA sponsors. In addition this theology is a new movement which grows out of a specific Latin American context.
