The amount of time the minister spent with his family in various ways contributed towards the connectedness the family feels with him. The minister and his wife must set and communicate realistic standards to the children. Teamwork between the parents in approaching tasks in the home, and respecting the volition of the mother lead to the wife and children's sense of the minister supporting the wife. Respect must be shown to all, by all. It focuses on COGIC pks who share thier stories. Findings reveal that home life is foremost in relation to impact on identity formation. Three pk types were established, in response to growing up under the authority of a preacher/parent. Recommendations were made to increase positive impacts and reduce negative impacts on identity formation.
