Chapter 1 provides the context of the church and community settings. The goals, definitions, and limitations are also given. Chapter 2 gives the biblical, theological, and historical bases for the evangelism of children. Parents and the church are to work in partnership in the evangelism and discipleship of children. Chapter 3 examines cognitive and spiritual development of children. Personality types are examined as they relate to spiritual sensitivity to provide an overview of intentional evangelism. Chapter 4 covers what happened during the fifteen-week project. This chapter focuses on giving the facts of what happened and who was involved. Chapter 5 is the evaluation of the project. This chapter shares the goals that were met and those that were not. The author gives his personal theological reflection. The project had three phases: interviews which included drawing a picture of God and self, ten worship times developed for the student body, and a second set of interviews with a second picture.  The findings, while not completely able to support the author's thesis since the project was subjective, did reveal naturally curious children who were eager to explore God's presence in their lives. The author examines the developmental stages of preliterate children, the divine design for raising children in the fear and knowledge of the Lord; he engages with their parents regarding their understanding of their children's faith development, and proposes use of liturgy and appropriate 'quiet books' assisting children's worship of the Lord. This project focuses on children reclaiming roles of leadership from the early church and using these roles to be leaders of the modern church.  The roles of children in the early church are explored, and current developmental perspectives of children are examined.  A study is conducted of children and their leadership in worship employing the roles of children from the early church. Jerome Berryman's model for children's worship (Godly play) shows how through creativity and play children experience spirituality as transcendence and awe. The methodology of this technique will be transferred to adult ministry. The researcher involved the children in activities such as praying, singing, liturgical dancing, journaling and crafts, using the pro-active research method.  This method seeks transformation while conducting qualitative research.  The researcher found that children who participated in grief activities involving prayer and worship were more responsive than those who participated in recreational activities alone. The project involved extensive research on how to equip parents to train their children in the spiritual disciplines.  From the research the project director designed a curriculum to equip the parents to train their children selected disciplines.  An eight-week parenting workshop was conducted utilizing the curriculum in order to equip the parents. When children are violated that spark is extinguished.  This project liberates children and the image of the divine within them from the violence and suffering rooted in our religious traditions.  Developing a relationship with a loving God is vital to the self-esteem and safety of abused children.  Abused children can heal spiritually through a liberation theology.  This project includes an historical and informational overview of abuse, with its Biblical and theological foundations.  A case study contains sample activities. The Church passes on the Christian faith to its young, but it also receives new and valuable perspectives into its faith from the young. This paper seeks to explore systematically children's insights into the Christian message, drawing on the body of research and reflection accumulated by the international Catechesis of the Good Shepherd movement over the course of the past fifty years. It then asks how children's theology--named 'mustard seed theology'--can be of particular use to preachers. It reports the results of two sets of interactions with preachers around the question. The author designed and presented a program using Scriptures identified by the Montessori based Catechesis of the Good Shepherd curriculum as those that draw young children to relationship with God and to meditation. Presentation used and displayed concrete representations children use in extended interaction with Scripture.
