The project demonstrates a 3-step process for training teachers to deal with three Bible passages: 1)interpret the text by analyzing literary characteristics and its literary and historical contexts; 2) explore the goal of Christian education and the learners' life experience, establishing a process for applying the biblical message accordingly; 3) teaching the Bible lesson by examining theories of learning, principles and methods of teaching, and designing a teaching/learning process compatible with literary genres and goals of Christian education. This project designed sample lesson plans relevant to the experience of Chinese Americans for three genres: Narrative, Wisdom, and Prophetic.
