The author investigates the unique Lukan parables and uses these as the primary source of information concerning how Luke thinks. The basic thrust of the parables seems to convey messages about the Kingdom of God.  The application of these Kingdom of God messages may be utilized in public worship, parabolical writings and church school curriculum. The first part of the project was an examination of the meaning of reconciliation followed by a study of the meaning of the sacrament of Holy Communion in relation to reconciliation.  The second part was a fourteen session study with leaders of a Presbyerian congregation.  The group planned three communion services for corporate worship and surveyed the congregation following the services. A pre-test and two post-tests were given to assess changes in belief, values, and behaviors.  These evaluative tests indicate that changes which were positively correlated with class objectives were most strongly and reliably catalyzed by the method of journal keeping.
