The three major components of the process are personality inventories, different spirituality modes appropriate to different temperaments, and tools for developing listening skills.  The Personal Profile System instrument was given at the outset and at the conclusion for comparison.  An instrument to elicit the participants' perception of the process was also given at the conclusion. The approach was to investigate how the Bible developed from its beginning until today, and then study the culture and geography of the Near East.  The course also provided surveys of the various books that are contained in the Bible. The church belongs to Jesus Christ and therefore all functions of the church must be built on a foundation rooted in spiritual disciplines of faith.  The four phases of the project included a congregation council leadership training program, a retreat on spirituality for congregational leaders, a seminar to train leaders in prayer disciplines, and a program of small group studies on spiritual issues. Seven bi-weekly sessions focused on interactions between two realms of the faith, family, and work triad (e.g., family and work, faith and family, etc).  Assignments elicited personal reflection and couple communication.  A pre-test, interview, post-test, and evaluation took place. Regular worship activities were also established.  Utilization of techniques/principles of religious education aided in the accomplishment of this project.  It would have been difficult to establish the church using these techniques and principles alone. The author envisioned retaining and training young married professionals as the answer to this dilemma.  The recent influx of young married professionals into his church gave the author opportunity to implement a discipling project.  The participants were trained in three areas: interpretation of the Bible, teaching methodology, and understanding the pupils.  The entire process took twenty weeks to complete.  Three kinds of evaluation instruments were employed: pre/post-tests, pre/post-session teaching assignments, and questionnaires. However, there has been little attempt by congregations to help people explore these dimensions of recovery within the context of the church community itself.  With such help, some recovering people might find an additional center of support and guidance for whole-life renewal. The project director used an experimental method of research with an experimental and control group.  The director used eleven teaching sessions, eight doctrinal sermons, and a pre-test/post-test to accomplish the goal.
