The short answer? There are many factors that contribute, but our family background is one of the largest contributions. Just as Proverbs 22:6 is true: “Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old, he will not depart from it,” the opposite would be true as well: Do not train up a child, and they will depart from “it”. What is “it”? “It” equals habits of godliness, wisdom, truth, fear of the Lord, and sanctification that comes from the training received from godly parents which extends to the next generation. Our mission to train up a child would be in jeopardy of the mandate that Solomon sets forth, if we did not train up a parent in the way they should go.Training is at the heart of this research project. Because there are many individuals who are about to be parents that do not pursue biblical parenting education training before they become parents, a conscious effort to strive to bridge our past with the present and create a bright future for our children, our family, and the generations that follow is integral to the success of parenting. If the concern for strong biblical parenting education is important, believers should be as adamant in pursuing this preparation as much as they are in beginning a biblical marriage with the right steps. Biblical marriages usually begin by the couple taking the time to pursue every avenue of preparation and advice that there is available. But that does not seem to be the case for the role of parenting. There appears to be a large deficit of understanding in the value of pursuing every avenue of preparation and advice available for this vital beginning of parenting. For some reason, the need is not there. It is quite puzzling and disheartening to know that this deficit exists when there is deep importance to this job.The research examined uses a hermeneutical phenomenological approach in the form of personal and group interviews, conversations with student parents of my elementary and secondary classes, and a university essay question from my university students. It was the goal of this project to create a plan of action that can be implemented to begin the journey of parenting with our aim fully on the target moving from working through one’s family background, to the success and the health of our marriage, to the implementation of a strong family unit. The project director researched spiritual formation, various approaches to discipleship in the church, and church strategy planning to determine best practices to fit First Baptist Denison. The project director also performed an internal audit of the Church's current adult discipleship process to determine how the church must improve in providing a clear pat of spiritual development,The project director selected a team of church members, consisting of five core leaders who led triads within the fifteen-person group during the discipleship strategy planning process, which took place over five sessions, to develop a discipleship strategy that encompasses and directs all church programs and ministries. The project director developed a communication plan for the resulting discipleship strategy with the five core leaders, published as a one-page tracking sheet for members to direct and track their spiritual growth. He then developed an integrated disciple-making strategy for Oklahoma Baptist University incorporating the selection of a strategy planning process, the recruitment and training of a strategy development team, chosen resources, and strategy evaluation. In addition, the theological background for the study with exegetical analysis of the Lukan parables is presented.Chapter 2 outlines the project research plan and methodology.  A weekly progress report is also included in this chapter.Chapter 3 presents the qualitative and quantitative project analysis gathered from both a pre- and post-study survey and a pre- and post-study financial giving report. Chapter 1 presents the theological foundation for the projects. This chapter focuses on the nature of making disciples, the transformation of the heart, and Christian coaching. The purpose of this project is to implement a disciple making strategy at Christ Centered Community [CCC] by using the DTR curriculum. Chapter 2 describes the ministry plan and implementation of the DTR curriculum.  The plan includes three components: curriculum preparation, implantation, and evaluation. The implantation consists of four parts: Purpose, opening, lesson, and assessment for each week. The purpose and opening provide a general idea for each lesson. The lesson covers the highlights of the lesson plan. The assessment covers the reaction of the students and the project leader’s observation of the students as each lesson was taught.Chapter 3 supplies a critical evaluation of the project leader’s objectives and the student’s objectives. Laying a foundation for the project, in phase one of the project director researched the areas of discipleship and disciple-making to determine consistent, reproducible behaviors in replicating disciples. The project director compiled the findings of the research into a report ultimately identifying common, reproducible behaviors that facilitate disciple=making. In phase two of the project, the project director studied curriculum design and lesson writing resulting in a curriculum to use in the project workshop presenting the reproducible behaviors of making disciples discovered through phase one research. Phase three followed curriculum development. Phase three included organizing and hosting the training event to equip workshop participants in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor learning domains. Accordingly, a new method of education and training is required in the church.The e-Learning teaching method, which has become new teaching method, is well known and useful in general education. However, the e-Learning education and training method in local churches are not yet common. This is not only due to a lack of understanding of the approach for e-Learning education and training methods but also due to an absence of the implementation manual for application.The project director aimed to help understand e-Learning and to study the e-Learning education methods and a blended learning to solve practical problems needed for application.
