Particular activities characterize the faithful but the activities themselves are inadequate to define the faithful. It is faith, love, humility, and obedience from their hearts, which give vitality to the individuals and define true spirituality. This thesis pursues the relationship between love, faith, humility, and obedience. Then the exercise of these qualities in the outworking of theology through devotion to scriptures, fellowship, communion, and prayer is examined. The author believes that the term 'revival' has been misunderstood in view of the biblical meaning and needs to be redefined for the modern church. We can be renewed by focusing on the fact that God has sent us a Savior and being Christ's body here on earth. Churches can turn this concept into an action plan for their congregation by instituting a program that honors Christ's methods of discipling and the activities of the historical revivalists, appealing to the whole person: head, heart, and hands. John Wesley's class meeting system was successful because it focused on these elements. The Navigators are a modern-day example. Historical methods of head, heart, and hands discipling are a valuable tool for church renewal."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["31b95ee0-a31c-43dc-8ec9-d97b30239a2d"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791132154974961664,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:58:53.489Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T14:58:56Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:07:18Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"a56f654e-dda8-4128-b990-72808b8353e3","accessControl_ssim":["e3cda39e-3a09-4951-beb2-ab82a97b47ed"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["The integration of discipleship and digital technology"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T14:58:55Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T02:56:08Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["b2fed047-1441-4e67-b404-563a8aa5b1dc"],"hasLease_ssim":["615a1bd1-9269-4fe6-8d18-beceff1c8fe5"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Michael C Morris"],"year_tesim":["2012"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Phillip A Sallee"],"publisher_tesim":["Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Religion","Technology","Christian life","Social networks"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["Despite the exponential growth of digital technology and social media, little is known about how these new tools can be used to advance the goal of discipleship. The image that some Christian leaders have of digital technology and social media is that it is unnecessary, is a waste of time, and is fraught with potential dangers. Similar to most emerging technologies, dangers to exist; however, an opportunity to expand exponentially the influence of a disciple maker through digital technology and social media also exists. This dissertation will document a digital=discipleship experiment that was conducted in the writer's church for one month. It will describe the theological foundation for discipleship. Further, it will test the results of the digital-discipleship experiment with spiritual inventories, which were conducted before and after the experiment. The results demonstrated that digital technology is an asset to discipleship. Research data collected indicates two significant findings: a gap exists between a disciple's motivation and involvement, and digital technology increases spiritual involvement."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["b2ad2862-737d-4dde-8145-b9b6962ac5f3"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791132687274082304,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:07:21.128Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":415,"label":"Unknown"},{"value":"D.Min.
