The workshop was developed and implemented by the author in cooperation with Ecuadorian leadership during a two-year term from July, 1999, to June, 2001. Questionnaires and interviews were used to evaluate the outcome. They indicated significant involvement in discipling as much as two years after the workshop. This project focuses on the use of skilled efforts and varying strategies employed by church officers of Compassionate Christian Ministries, a new church, to encourage growth in membership, deepening commitment, spiritual maturity and discipleship.  An action research program was designed for officers of the church.  The program incorporated theoretical aspects as well as practical examples. In addition, the project director led the team through a strategy-building method.  The team's experiences resulted in the development of a discipleship strategy for the church. The project was accomplished in three phases.  The first phase was conducting the research.  The research focused on biblical models of disciple-making, specifically the inner circle model of Jesus.  The research also focused on the processes of mentoring, coaching, and reproducing disciples.  In the second phase, the project director developed a set of lesson plans.  The lesson plans were used in a fast-track training for making disciples using a triad model.  The final phase was the implementation phase.  In this phase the project director trained a selected group of believers to become disciple-makers using the triad model. At the conclusion of the project, the project participants were asked to make a commitment to make disciples using a triad model. This project surveys the roles of women in early Methodist movement and examines the letters of Susanna Wesley for her interpretation and practices of virtue.  The research concludes that intentionality is a key component in virtue development in any time or place.
