During the first phase of the project, the project director explored the Beatitudes (Mt: 5:3-16) and existing disciple-making models to develop a profile consisting of the salient components of a mture desciple of Jesus.  In the second phase, the project director researched various methods for strategy development and led the elders and selected leaders to develop a disciple-making strategy for Welsh Baptist Church. It is evident in many communities of faith and among individual believers that there is a problematic lack of passion, urgency, and interest in faithfully carrying out one's call to discipleship. For this project five individual congregations and their pastors were studied and assessed as models that have bridged the gap from apathy to mission and from casual observer to faithful disciple. Data was gathered through general observation, open-ended questionnaires, face-to-face interviews, and surveys. The strategy was completed and presented to the church in a regular business session. In response to this problem, the researcher studied the use of oral training as a method to train leaders. This included the role of the African oral tradition, the biblical oral history, and the goal of making disciples through biblical education. In order to understand discipleship; the knowledge, character, and ministry life of the students was closely evaluated and they grew significantly in each of these areas. The data sources included exams, surveys, and interviews. Secondly, the thesis to help the readers learn that the theology of being the bride of Christ can encourage believers turned disciples to follow the Great Commandment. I have designed a two-year course for discipleship training called 'Becoming the Glorious Bride'. As goes the man, so goes the family, church, and nation. The problem of men remaining disengaged from the gospel has ramifications for men and Christ's church. This project recaptures a biblical view of masculinity. An overview and assessment of the effectiveness of several ministries is given. Men's ministry initiatives of the Presbyterian Church in America are presented with the purpose of developing life-transforming discipleship of men within local churches. Four disciplers and their protégés were interviewed and recorded for the purpose of discovering what, in their personal opinion, were the essential ingredients in developing and training strong and growing disciples of Jesus.  The results indicated my top three hypothesizes were not confirmed. Their top three elements were the relationship, the centrality of the Word, and the application of what the disciple was learning.
