The hypothesis was that I could design and teach a Vacation Bible School theme on stewardship of all creation. The project was based on the action research model. The hypothesis was proven correct. To promote understanding and reconciliation, some of the churches in the town of Ledyard invited tribal members to participate in an ecumenical, cross-cultural vacation Bible school.  The morning children's program used commercial curricula, but the evening program for all ages focused on the theme of 'Who is my neighbor?'
