Following an analytical framework suggested by Loren B Mead in The Once and Future Church, the case study confronts and analyzes issues of money, power, paternalism, organization, administration, and the role of judicatories in global church linkages. Employing anthropological and biblical perspectives, this project analyzes four religious beliefs and practices that prevent acceptance of Christianity among Ashantis, finding that a major problem is the traditional Ashanti concept of God as remote, unapproachable, and unavailable in times of crisis.
