with the objective of planting a new church in the city of Belém, in the state of Pará, Brazil. The project director researched demographics, interviewed national pastors and international missionaries, studied cultural nuances, and accumulated other data in order to understand the cultural and religious context in which a new church would be planted. From this collected data, the project director developed a strategy that involved the usage of a team approach to planting a new church. The International Mission Board regional leadership for Brazil decided to delay any action on the strategy developed for this project because of logistical problems related to the fact that the region was in the midst of a major transition. The Eastern and Western South America Regions were joined to form the South American Region. It is concerned with questions related to the emergence of the postmodern worldview, the impact of the postmodern worldview on the emerging generations, and the development of a biblically based missiological paradigm for understanding, engaging, and reaching a culture shaped by this worldview.  The study examines the mission field of the emerging generations, their postmodern worldview, and how that worldview shapes their lives.  The study continues with an examination of culture along with a biblical theology of understanding and engaging culture. The study lays out a biblical paradigm for engaging the postmodern generations that is based on the Apostle Paul's engagement with the pagan Athenian culture in Acts 17. It includes documentary and field research.  The samples in the survey are 200 students from four Bible colleges in Thailand.  The survey also sets a random example from the designed group in order to compare the results with those 200 students. The conclusions of this project report are based on qualitative research that focused primarily on an interview process. Through the use of Merriam's Constant Comparative Method, primary themes emerged that are reported in a case study format.
