The research is primarily directed towards etiology and focuses on adolescent and mass hysteria cases. This study found that individuals with Conversion Disorder seemed to experience depression-like symptoms. Furthermore, the results indicated that ongoing family and marital strife was significantly related to conversion disorder. The findings indicate a lack of conflict resolution skills to deal with the stress of the conflicts. The study looked at how the planter and plant were affected by the leader's vocational status. The literature review is comprised of relevant church planting literature, literature concerning work and the interplay of vocation, and the history of the Irish Presbyterian Church. For the purpose of qualitative research, ten planters and five others participated in informal semi-structured interviews. It presents research conducted by analyzing a survey which was completed twice, before and after six weeks of study, by three groups in two different churches. Evidence of church decline is already being observed by concerned African leaders in the church. With particular reference to the church in Nigeria, the peculiar nature of church decline and death here is very different from what obtains in the West. It is more of qualitative than quantitative; and it could go unnoticed, except with careful observation. The purpose of this Doctor of Ministry Project is to revitalize a daughter church of Newlife Baptist Church through a process of leadership training. Like Apostle Paul did, experience also shows that it is better to start revitalizing churches while they are still young and malleable, rather than wait till they begin to suffer decline and death. Churches that are given the opportunity of regular re-development have greater chances of being healthy and reproducing healthy churches with time. The selected leaders of Newlife Baptist Church that were intensively trained (and that already have the responsibility of overseeing her several daughter churches) had a Renewal Weekend organized with the daughter church used for this project (New Creation Baptist Church). The purpose is to begin a revitalization process with this church. While we rejoice for this open door and the opportunity for the gospel, we also see the challenges in establishing the new believers in the biblical faith as wll as the development of leaders for the emerging churches. The challenge of developing leaders becomes more complex as many of them are oral learners. One of the ways to face the challenge is to use oral methods in training leaders. This thesis describs the opportunities and challenges in Bihar, India. It surveys mission history, particularly focused on the Bihar Reach-Out Network. It builds a biblical and theological foundation for consideration of orality. The survey was administered to two groups in different cities in Tanzania, Africa, and to several groups from Northplace Church in Sachse, Texas. The examination is based on four different hypotheses administered through a descriptive survey of twenty-one questions. Hypothesis 1 investigates whether participation in a short-term mission trip increases activity in missions both locally and beyond. Hypothesis 2 considers whether participation in the short-term mission trip increases ministry involvement in the church through an increased awareness of other socio-economic groups and cultures. Hypothesis 3 determines whether participation in the short-term mission trip increases ministry involvement in the church through missions giving. Finally, Hypothesis 4 studies whether participation in a short-term mission trip increases ministry involvement in the church through an increased participation in spiritual formation.This research includes a literature review with respect to the purpose of missions with a focus on the short-term mission trip experience.
