This study answered the research question, 'What are some primary factors associated with new members of the last 10 years (2005-2015) joining Grace Christian Church of the Philippines?' The research examined the three factors of Pulpit Ministry, Culture Change, and Vision as primary factors of church growth. This study looked at pulpit preaching and its central importance in the life of the church. It also examined culture in the church and the change process and why these are important factors to consider when implementing change. Then, it explored how vision and its casting are essential to give the church direction and purpose. The methodology used for the study, first review literature regarding midlife marriage. Then investigate the lived experience of middle aged couples in a Chinese church. The dissertation concludes with suggestions, which help middle aged Christian couples cope with challenges they are presented with as they transition into midlife, then their marriage will be enriched, enabled them to rebound and grow."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Logos Evangelical Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["54e7729a-4915-469f-8fd5-c7bb7ccd6c20"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791134745105530880,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:40:03.629Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T16:53:49Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T04:47:15Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"e87e6a1e-2160-4b6d-853c-4c680535ede9","accessControl_ssim":["35886773-d63e-40a0-9aee-7f2909694672"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Resiliency and self-care for pastors in Japan facing a disaster"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T16:53:48Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T04:47:14Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["3cb6a864-a3af-41ee-ba87-b6bcfd8b35df"],"hasLease_ssim":["7b9aba91-1d98-4574-932b-74c93ad6d9b2"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Bethel Seminary (St. Paul, MN)"],"advisor_tesim":["Timothy Senapatiratne"],"year_tesim":["2015"],"location_tesim":["Japan"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["John Graham Houlette"],"publisher_tesim":["Bethel Seminary (St. Paul, MN)"],"subject_tesim":["Christians","Disasters--Psychological aspects","Church work with disaster victims","Clergy--Mental health"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["Resiliency and self-care for pastors in Japan facing a disaster was researched.
