The author explores a theology and methodology of holiness based on the understanding that it is a singularity that cannot be separated into acts of individual piety versus social holiness. This work outlines the beginning of transformation, from the author's own spiritual journey and contextual praxis as pastor of a white mainline church to a process of confrontational worship and focused Christian dialogue that can begin the transformation to anti-racist multicultural faith family. Therefore, all members of the church must function as parts of the body. Given this theological mandate, the purpose of this thesis is to find ways in which all members of the church can function properly as parts of the body. There are three symptoms identified in this thesis as indicators that the body of Christ is not working properly.
