This was accomplished through an 'I Am A Minister' campaign. This was a comprehensive campaign that involved most of the organizations in the church. The Forest Park long-range planning committee used the tool in determining its strengths and, ultimately, in expanding and/or adding to those strengths. Biblical, theological, and historical support relates to the involvement of divine leadership in the planning process. This study reviews the thought of major thinkers from the fields of philosophy, theology, and architecture regarding the affective nature of such places.  An experimental planning workshop invites a religious congregation's members to identify symbolic expression desired in a sacred space. The project tests the usefulness of architect Chris Alexander's pattern language theory as the basis of a methodology for this purpose. Implementation of ministry can follow different models for ministry, such as vocational, project and corporate models. The methods of research for this project include sociological and demographic studies of a community.  The findings are related to models for ministry based on the stories of Paul, Timothy, and Epaphroditus found in Philippians 2. This project tested the hypothesis by means of a series of planning sessions designed around major points of Barth's ecclesiology.  Each of these sessions consisted of lessons on the nature and mission of the church followed by periods of program analysis and planning.
