The author's field research includes a leadership survey and a related case study for peer discussion groups on a focus group of twenty-five Black Christian female respondents who are leaders or emerging leaders. She concludes that Black women have made great strides but there are many areas in life that continue to have only token expressions, if that, of Black women. They can be combined with evangelism to form the outreach ministry of the church to its community. Various Chinese churches in different countries have used this model of sharing the love and the gospel of Christ through evangelism and social services. The focus of this project is the development of a community ministry plan for a Chinese church in Canada. The author surveyed over a hundred and fifty Chinese churches in eastern Canada and conducted in-depth interviews with four of the churches with community ministry. Furthermore, three community service organizations in Ottawa where the author's church is located were interviewed in order to better assess the needs of the community. Based on the findings of the research, a plan is developed to implement community ministry. The plan consists of four steps: cultivating a vision for community ministry, mobilizing and equipping for community ministry, organizing for community ministry and partnering for community ministry."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Trinity Evangelical Divinity School"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["c654e922-76d0-4427-ac29-e286b7997781"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791125333912584192,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:10:28.417Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T10:47:41Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T01:52:41Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"73c9648d-3b4d-4603-a353-1328ea8e83bd","accessControl_ssim":["ee6c94a4-bba4-41e8-b6c4-0d17614a8b8f"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Leading the Southern Baptist Church toward community transforming ministry in East Baltimore"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T10:47:40Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T01:31:39Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["a3a26cb2-c90e-46d9-b1d9-13f1b6e57042"],"hasLease_ssim":["f56e4404-b024-470b-a6ae-6c892fcd96a5"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Doctor of Ministry"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Lewis A Parks"],"year_tesim":["2006"],"location_tesim":["Maryland--Baltimore"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min.
