Two illusions are reframed: that a constitution is clear and just; and, that everyone knows how people should behave.  It is proposed that alterations of law, informed by considerations of justice, and an unveiling of ethical norms, result in the claiming of identity and are marks of faithful Christian response. The design provides participants an opportunity to get acquainted, worship, see a video on a issue of public concern--in this case, the United Nations. They are instructed on how to write an official about their views, then they do that.  In addition to discovering that the program was workable, the author found that people will take the time to contribute to peace if they are shown how. The author also examined and reflected on the thought of Juan Luis Segundo and Reinhold Niebuhr, offering, too, his rationale for Christian involvement in the public arena.
