The methodologies utilized to achieve this goal consisted of council and congregational teaching and training, survey instruments based upon the Likkert format and control group input.  The project revealed that worship council members rated novel worship techniques employed during the project with higher marks than their control group counterparts. The theories utilized were transported from action science, developed by Dr Chris Argyris and colleagues, into Christian theology.  The process focused on action science's double loop learning. The components of the project structure--the committee, the pastor and the community of inquiry--engaged in this process.  Information was gathered through audio tape, verbal feedback and written notes.  The results confirmed the hypothesis.  By changing the pastor's behavior, the pastor and committee were changed.
