(1) A consistent, vertically-integrated ministry that recognizes the 'in Christ' relationship as sons/daughters of God and purposefully structures the church to foster that relationship in order to see life change (Christ-likeness). (2) The horizontal mutuality that exists between fellow believers in Christ and how that relationship fosters spiritual growth. But with proper planning, respect, trust and integrity on the part of a church's pastors as well as elected leaders and members, experiencing ministry together does not have to produce dissonance and anxiety. Furthermore, as pastoral leadership moves through different transitional stages, conflict is blunted. The corresponding chapters of this work are a combination of church and community history, a biblical/theological examination of the remnant, a consideration of the process of transition, and transition at Arlington Baptist church using a remnant of believers.  In terms of a new church rising from the ashes, the full potential has barely been realized. The training of the 14 pastors took place in Nairobi, Kenya, in September 2002. The group had one year to put the principles learnt into practice. The class met twice after the one-year period to reevaluate the ten principles they had previously learnt. The project proved that it was possible to plant churches using the ten leadership principles gathered from Paul's speech at Miletus. 5 new churches were planted and the other 9 that had existed before this project began grew by 33% to 185%. Eighty-seven cross-cultural church planters and eleven mission agency executives were surveyed in order to understand better current practices of missionary selection and requirements for missionary service.  Church planters appraised the value of their pre-field training and practical experience.  Mission agency executives explained their process for candidate selection. First, the project director will review models of strategies for planting Hispanic congregations.  The project director will then lead select members of Calvary Baptist Church to develop a strategy for planting a Hispanic congregation in Waynesboro, Mississippi.  Finally, the director will begin the early implementation process. The project director will secure a demographic report from the Mississippi Baptist Convention Board.  David Alexander, field mentor, will provide a brief synopsis providing interpretation of the demographics.  Moreover, a relationship with Gustavo Salazar, a Hispanic pastor from Laurel, Mississippi, will complement the research of this people group. The strategy will be developed through four training sessions of select members of Calvary Baptist Church.  The sessions will include an introduction to the Hispanic culture, a review of existing strategies, and a synthesis of strategy unique to the ministry field. Research results, theological doctrines, and common church practice were combined with cultural and sociological realities of homelessness to develop a congregational plan for homeless people.  Findings confirmed that homeless people benefitted in areas of discipleship, fellowship, and leadership development.
