A study in the book of Acts, a literature search on church planting models and plans, a questionnaire and two case studies demonstrated the effectiveness of the model. The description of said field test is the purpose of the dissertation.  The results of the tests showed that personal attention towards the trainees and behavioral objectives related task orientation of 'on-the-job' training were effective tools of church-planting motivation. The method of research used for this project was a combination of case study, analyzing Wooddale (parent church), Woodridge (new church) and Woodcrest (new church). The on-site evaluation method in the development of Woodcrest Church was used. This study sought to develop and test a model to train church planters in Eastern Europe.  This model was built around the multiplication mechanism found in 2 Timothy 2:2. A biblical study of church planting was done to establish a basis for the model and provide materials for teaching a church planting course. The thesis follows the journey of a new church development congregation through the eyes of their former minister.  The research data was collected in three ways: questionnaire; interviews done by an objective interviewer; and personal recollections by the author.  This information was shared in the context of contemporary literature and theological reflection. Bible study was used to train lay persons.  A systematic, well-planned process for church planting and church growth should be used.
