The result shows that the small group leadership training group was successful in terms of relationships, giving materials, and promoting spiritual growth.  Prayer and the relationship with God are the foundations of the ministry.  The small group improved through collecting materials and lengthening discussion time. The author researched both the history and the methodology of prayer in the cell context.  The resulting 'prayer life' church-wide emphasis combined large group teachings with self-study materials and small group discussions and activities designed specifically to work within the cell-based church environment. In the perspective of the American experience, the elements, benefits, and challenges of small faith groups are described. Research indicates that small faith groups have an impact on the faith life of adults. The spirituality in small faith groups is explored in connection with Franciscan values. The project was conducted in three phases: (1) a four-hour introductory MBTI workshop, (2) an eight-hour MBTI team building workshop, and (3) one-hour review sessions conducted weekly for eight consecutive weeks. Both pro-active and quantitative methods of research were utilized. A training plan was developed utilizing available leadership materials and existing research. The training included seven didactic sessions covering the subjects of team leadership, servant leadership, personal leadership, team communication, team conflict, team spirituality, and team purpose/function. Each individual completed a spiritual gift inventory and participated in a consensus building activity. The team went on a weekend retreat which included one of the didactic sessions, and six different ropes course challenges. The project director attempted to use the Lord's Prayer as a model in leading a small group of individuals of Sharon Baptist Church into a deeper understanding of prayer and God with the goal of establishing a prayer ministry at the church. A framework for leadership development was established through an overview of biblical and church history and an examination of current leadership development trends. Intervention consisted of a series of sermons, 'Nehemiah on leadership,' and a small group study on 'The measure of a man' by Gene Getz. Analyses were performed to determine their effectiveness.
