After completing a six-week teaching series, the groups engaged in doing a missions project.  Meeting a felt need in the missions project allowed them to minister to the recipeints of the project through prayer, encouragement, and sharing the love of Jesus Christ. Equipping selected adults with disciple-making skills for gender-based groups will potentially address the need for multiplication of disciple groups. Making disciples through gender-based groups to know and understand scripture will strengthen the individuals in their pursuit to be more like Christl. Disciple-making will become a key practice to help LifePoint attendees grow spiritually and multiply disciples. The project director used an equipping model with three phases to accomplish this project. Phase one of the equipping model was to research several different models of disciple-making, including small groups, Sunday School, gender-based groups, and mentoring, in order to discover common skills used to produce disciples. Phase two consisted of the project director synthesizing the skills discovered in the research into a training course. Phase three was the training workshop with selected adults. The first part looks at how mentoring and personal prayer practices influenced my personal spiritual journey. The second part provides practical enhancements to an existing model of spiritual formation and discusses the place of small groups, suffering, mentoring, and personal spiritual practices in that enhanced model. Finally, in the third part I review a ministry project where I mentored seven individuals in their personal prayer lives over a seven-week period. From 1867 to 1952, missionaries provided leadership to Wenzhou churches in the form of pastoral leadership to individual congregations. By contrast, contemporary churches of Wenzhou have been adhering to a system of patriarchal administration over a number of congregations, including the assignment of volunteer lay-preachers who are not expected to carry out any pastoral duties. This model of church leadership is found to have many problems that hindered the development of churches. The purpose of this dissertation is to explore how to build up pastoral leadership in Wenzhou. The emphasis of pastoral leadership is for pastors to lead and nurture churches. Through their leadership, preaching, pastoral care, visitation, teaching, counseling, discipleship training, evangelism, etc., they enable their flocks to grow spiritually. Since churches in Wenzhou are unique in their geography and history, it is impracticable to import entirely western modes of pastoral leadership into Wenzhou. The author has to integrate these two so as to produce contextualized modes of pastoral leadership suitable for the future development of Wenzhou
