Mature disciples trained in ministry apartments have been reproducing, thus augmenting the local churches. Disciple-making programs provide opportunities for the exercise of God-given abilities and enhance international networking. Many part-time pastors and church employees receive financial support, but spiritual and emotional support is lacking.  Bivocational ministers and their spouses were enlisted to participate in a support group.  The purpose of the group was to guide participants in developing supportive relationships with one another. As a result, participants were to grow professionally and personally.  The Taylor-Johnson Temperament Analysis and interviews with a professional counselor provided objective data for evaluation.  Case studies were used to help group members analyze and theologically reflect on each experience. Experimental and descriptive research methodologies were used with control and experimental groups.  A questionnaire determined spiritual disciplines that needed improvement, and a training manual was developed based upon the results. The experimental group received seven weeks of discipleship training from the project director.  This group then trained others one-on-one using the same material. The Youth Corps (Toronto, Canada) experience was chosen as an existing operational vehicle for the research. As a qualitative study, the bias was lessened by asking predetermined questions to former team members of Youth Corps.  The results demonstrated that the team model is an effective approach to ministry.  It challenges people to work within a meaningful vision, to respond to action, and to an awareness of every person's leadership role.
