Could a multi-site approach enable Episcopal parishes to start new communities of faith? Multi-site structures, defines as one church in multiple locations, have strong biblical and ecclesiological support. Several examples can be found in Anglican history, and the canons fully support this approach. Five parishes were found to have implemented multi-sites in suburban contexts. Their experience was explored and documented as a qualitative multiple case study. Their multi-site approaches proved successful. Analysis of these cases, coupled with in-depth study of multi-site literature, yielded 20 specific recommendations for possible future implementation."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["31b95ee0-a31c-43dc-8ec9-d97b30239a2d"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791131098684588032,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:42:06.132Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T15:38:46Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T06:09:41Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"9a0a7a4e-892b-4145-a7e9-3fd05b0047a4","accessControl_ssim":["6f9651f7-fdb6-4f30-9709-5b48c843c959"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Growing the local church through worship: one model for reaching new people, younger people, and more diverse people"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T15:38:46Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T02:38:28Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["55ef8786-2fdb-4bc3-81b3-de343dbceec7"],"hasLease_ssim":["1193a209-e585-41bc-bd48-c6a42e0babfc"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Doctor of Ministry"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Lewis A Parks"],"year_tesim":["2013"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min. Evidence of church decline is already being observed by concerned African leaders in the church. With particular reference to the church in Nigeria, the peculiar nature of church decline and death here is very different from what obtains in the West. It is more of qualitative than quantitative; and it could go unnoticed, except with careful observation. The purpose of this Doctor of Ministry Project is to revitalize a daughter church of Newlife Baptist Church through a process of leadership training. Like Apostle Paul did, experience also shows that it is better to start revitalizing churches while they are still young and malleable, rather than wait till they begin to suffer decline and death. Churches that are given the opportunity of regular re-development have greater chances of being healthy and reproducing healthy churches with time. The selected leaders of Newlife Baptist Church that were intensively trained (and that already have the responsibility of overseeing her several daughter churches) had a Renewal Weekend organized with the daughter church used for this project (New Creation Baptist Church). The purpose is to begin a revitalization process with this church. This experience would thus equip the selected leaders in their responsibility over the other daughter churches of Newlife Baptist Church."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["dacf5c07-78c8-4937-a01a-26cd044f9625"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791134957421199360,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:43:26.110Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T15:31:52Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:44:36Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"2a423847-718c-4143-bff1-0edf654eb8a3","accessControl_ssim":["0ff406a9-b158-4bc4-9055-ec6febfaff6c"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Discovering the effect of intercessory prayer on the evangelistic participation of a select group from East Boulder Baptist Church"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T15:31:51Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:22:10Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["7a4ab065-a0da-4c9a-a298-53c3b1aa804e"],"hasLease_ssim":["70b54943-488e-4350-aa5f-c3c2ec190781"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Rodney A Harrison"],"year_tesim":["2013"],"location_tesim":["United States"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Larry Dean Dramann"],"publisher_tesim":["Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Evangelistic work","Spiritual formation","Church growth"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["A growing number of churches in America have become irrelevant and many are closing their doors.
