Church planting is the New Testament answer for the evangelization of the country.  Various current approaches to church planting strategy are recognized. Special attention is given to management principles and how they can be applied to church planting.  The setting of essential goals is discussed in the framework of a PERT system (Program Evaluation and Review Technique). The project is structured to gradually develop this PERT system, step by step, beginning with spiritual awakening in a local church.  The PERT plan presented here consists of four networks or chains of goals called events.  Each of these networks moves toward a major goal in the plan. The text seeks to carefully explain each activity necessary in order to reach the following goal or event in the chain. Sixty-one percent of the congregation par ticipated in the project, resulting in a 7 percent increase in commitment of time and a 12 percent increase in monetary pledges. The purpose of this project is to discover the factors contributing to rapid Korean church growth through research questionnaires and personal interviews. Discovering factors are: there were no cultural problems and religious opposition in preaching the gospel, and political unrest made Korean people depend upon God.  The first mission policies were adapted well to the Korean church.  Korean Christians study the Bible earnestly, pray fervently, and evangelize without ceasing. Along with the literature search, a questionnaire was distributed to all congregations within the presbytery and six case studies were conducted.  The author also investigates the relevance of the Church Growth and Small Church Movements for the Australian Church.  The major external influences focus upon the process of secularization and the cyclical movement of the growth and decline of churches within Sydney associated with the predominance of the middle class. Interviews and questionnaires from a sample group of region personnel, plus comparisons of region emphases and actual church programs provided the substance of the research.
