Surveys of the congregations reveal that personal friendship is the best way to communicate and that printed materials--tracts and books--are the most useful evangelistic media. These Bangkok churches overcome hindrances in communicating difficult concepts by illustrating them with personal testimonies. These churches teach members to evangelize by training them one-on-one in telephone and house visitations. Using a Likard scale research instrument to survey growing and plateaued churches, the project questioned these congregations about witness, service, fellowship, maturity, and worship. Four such congregations, each more than 30 years old, have grown from an average worship attendance of fewer than 80 to an average of more than 125 within a 10-year period. The project devises and administers a Turnaround Church Survey for use in interviewing pastors and lay leaders in these congregations. Five members of TCC attended six seminars over a two-year period, learning philosophy and methods of disciple-making, church growth, and project management. The project then monitored the church's progress through surveys and attendance records. Data gathered by survey were processed with analysis of variance and a regression equation.  The independent variable was the pastoral succession rate and the dependent variables for church growth were average Sunday school attendance, average worship attendance, average professions of faith, and average annual payout of apportionments. These suggestions were evaluated over a one-year period by a Strategic Planning Committee, using predetermined criteria to formulate the final plan.
