The author conducted the research for this paper through extensive reading of Yonggi Cho's books, study of the historical and cultural context and the socioeconomic context of Cho's ministry in Korea, and evangelical missiological reflection and evangelical theological evaluation. This study sought to develop and test a model to train church planters in Eastern Europe.  This model was built around the multiplication mechanism found in 2 Timothy 2:2. A biblical study of church planting was done to establish a basis for the model and provide materials for teaching a church planting course.  This study confirmed that leadership development and church planting are strategic ministries in meeting the spiritual needs of Eastern
