The equipping model formed the framework for developing and implementing the workshop. It examines the elements of intuition, memory, imagination, and the commitment, as necessary components of spiritual discernment. Four active laity were recruited from the congregation in Milbank, South Dakota, to serve a Project Task Force (PTF). This group collaborated with the pastor, studied discernment, developed the instrument and process used for this project, and evaluated their process. It discusses the biblical basis of a multi-site church, the seven key theological concepts in the Old and New Testaments relevant to the life of a local church, and provides a biblical definition of the church. Therefore, Weinhold created a 'Healthy Boundaries' curriculum including a participant's manual for churches. Utilizing an evaluative research design, a one day workshop was offered to 12 lay persons and pastors. The workshop progressed from personal to pastoral to legal boundaries. Data analysis employed the spiral steps of qualitative research authored by Leedy and Ormord (2005). The project's hypothesis confront an uncertainty, namely that it is uncertain whether Redeemer's structure influences members to participate in the practice of discipleship. The project is accomplished first through bibliographic research into the biblical, theological, historical, and practical nature of this relationship, and then second through field research investigating this relationship at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Richmond, Virginia. The focus was on whether or not there is a functional use of resources for Christian nonprofit ministries involved in the case studies. The hypotheses stated that the Christian multi-tenant nonprofit center format will be found to foster opportunities for cooperation.  Five other hypotheses focused on savings in rent, operations, and technology, and whether marketing and donation revenue increased.
