The project director researched biblical teachings, theological foundations, and related literature on the topic of salvation. The project director also developed a training model to equip a new member assimilation team with the skills to interview new and prospective members about salvation. Finally, the project director utilized the training model to equip the new member assimilation team with a more efficient way for Grace Baptist Church to receive new and prospective members. Consultations with professors and church leaders both in India and in the US, the proposal, ethnography, and the reporting spanned twenty-six months. Twenty constituents including the youth who left, youth currently attending, parents, and pastors were interviewed along with questionnaires. The findings reveal that the youth left because these congregations have been lacking active ministries. A strategic planning team, consisting of lay members, was invited to participate in the assimilation strategy process.  The project director leveraged strategic principles as well as assimilation principles to lead the team in the development of the strategy, in order to enable members at NABC to be more intentional with assimilation efforts.
