The  project director led selected members of Cumming Baptist Church to develop a multifaceted relational evangelism strategy that will minister effectively to the millennial population of Forsyth County, Georgia. The strategy formation team met for six sessions to develop the strategy for the church. The project director insturcted the team on demographic data from Forsyth County, information on millennials found through research, best relational evangelism practices, the biblical rationale for relational evangelism, and strategy formation technique. With this knowledge, the strategy formation team, led by the project director, developed a multifaceted relational evangelism strategy. Teaching was conducted at a one-day workshop and focused on viewing church health through the lenses of God's mission, systems theory perspectives related to mission, and revitalization principles interpreted through God's mission for the church. Observations and interviews assessed how participants were impacted. From 1867 to 1952, missionaries provided leadership to Wenzhou churches in the form of pastoral leadership to individual congregations. By contrast, contemporary churches of Wenzhou have been adhering to a system of patriarchal administration over a number of congregations, including the assignment of volunteer lay-preachers who are not expected to carry out any pastoral duties. This model of church leadership is found to have many problems that hindered the development of churches. The purpose of this dissertation is to explore how to build up pastoral leadership in Wenzhou. The emphasis of pastoral leadership is for pastors to lead and nurture churches. Through their leadership, preaching, pastoral care, visitation, teaching, counseling, discipleship training, evangelism, etc., they enable their flocks to grow spiritually. Since churches in Wenzhou are unique in their geography and history, it is impracticable to import entirely western modes of pastoral leadership into Wenzhou. The workshop incorporates collaborative learning through a mini-lecture, individual reflection, small group discussion, role play, and focus group discussion.  Participants explore their results from Gallup's StrengthsFinder assessment from a Christian perspective.  Measurement tools include StrengthsFinder results, repeated Likert-style questionnaires, and semi-structured interviews. Second, using demographic data and a community needs survey administered to select community leaders, the project director analyzed the lifestyles and community needs in the local community of Hartsville, South Carolina. Third, utilizing the assistance of a church strategy team, the project director developed a ministry evangelism strategy for West Hartsville Baptist Church to improve the church's missional effectiveness in the local community. This project involved both research and ministry in following a skills-enhancement model. Research focused on the purpose, preparation, and delivery of strategic sermons. From the research, ten common components of strategic sermons were identified and utilized in the formulation of a strategic sermon study guide and strategic sermon template. To conclude the project, the project director preached the series of strategic sermons employing the strategic sermon study guide and sermon template; thereby, representing an increase in his knowledge and skills in strategic preaching.
