(1) A consistent, vertically-integrated ministry that recognizes the 'in Christ' relationship as sons/daughters of God and purposefully structures the church to foster that relationship in order to see life change (Christ-likeness). (2) The horizontal mutuality that exists between fellow believers in Christ and how that relationship fosters spiritual growth. Key passages from Matthew, Ephesians and Acts develop the ministry model; furthermore, both the forms (five) and structure necessary (six categories of personal ministry) to complement the process are discussed."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Miscellaneous"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["4f3e9d5f-fc19-4d44-a264-44b56604eb9a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791128435243876352,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:59:46.077Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T15:19:12Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T06:48:12Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"e80d00ed-4856-4ba0-94a6-28cd99192030","accessControl_ssim":["ed8685e3-0f3f-4d62-80d7-7ac8a8b62b4d"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Working as the body of Christ: how teaching Orthodox Christian ecclesiology affects parish leadership and ministry"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T15:19:11Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T04:46:20Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["1ea97bea-4147-4152-819f-e757d8953784"],"hasLease_ssim":["5f88c456-3e1a-42d6-8abf-a125af8ea0cc"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Pittsburgh Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Nicholas Ferencz"],"year_tesim":["2013"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["James S Katinas"],"keyword_tesim":["Relation (Theology)","Theology, Orthodox Eastern"],"publisher_tesim":["Pittsburgh Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Education--Curricula","Clergy","Church--History of doctrines","Orthodox Eastern Church","Orthodox Eastern Church--Doctrine","Church work","Christian education"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The central precepts of Orthodox Christian ecclesiology can be successfully taught to parish council members to foster leadership approaches that are more consistent with the nature and purpose of leadership in the Orthodox Church. The survey was administered to two groups in different cities in Tanzania, Africa, and to several groups from Northplace Church in Sachse, Texas. The examination is based on four different hypotheses administered through a descriptive survey of twenty-one questions. Hypothesis 1 investigates whether participation in a short-term mission trip increases activity in missions both locally and beyond. Hypothesis 2 considers whether participation in the short-term mission trip increases ministry involvement in the church through an increased awareness of other socio-economic groups and cultures. Hypothesis 3 determines whether participation in the short-term mission trip increases ministry involvement in the church through missions giving. Finally, Hypothesis 4 studies whether participation in a short-term mission trip increases ministry involvement in the church through an increased participation in spiritual formation. This research includes a literature review with respect to the purpose of missions with a focus on the short-term mission trip experience. It seeks to determine if statistically significant data can be obtained for any of the four hypotheses in the two countries where the surveys were given and presents explanations for such results."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Dallas Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["8322f611-a593-413a-8bcd-0011fba52dc7"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791130022650576896,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:24:59.946Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T15:16:40Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:22:24Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"8578400e-3fbe-4a97-86c4-ffbc6d9a6b0b","accessControl_ssim":["5ae363d5-b4d7-4f2b-810e-1e9b04c43c33"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Equipping care group leaders using the motif of prophet, priest, and king in a Singaporean Bible-Presbyterian Congregation."],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T15:16:39Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T02:03:51Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["fd9f5853-f276-46fa-80ae-b5767d2067ca"],"hasLease_ssim":["2ab1c79a-bced-4971-b1e0-fdcea4711866"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Tyndale University"],"advisor_tesim":["J Kevin Livingston"],"year_tesim":["2013"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Kheng Hai Lim"],"keyword_tesim":["Prophetic office"],"publisher_tesim":["Tyndale University College and Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Caregivers","Presbyterian Church","Church work"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The training of care group leaders is often overlooked. In order to rehabilitate the church and to help all the members of the church to grow to the fullness of Christ, we have to fight against a lot of difficulties. We need a ministry essence and steady ministry philosophy which our Lord has taught us if we want to go through all the spiritual fights. Rather than following the trends, but to hold on to the essence would make out a good result. The project's goals were to research the congregation's knowledge and participation in community service and determine how it affected their faith, and how their faith affected their view of community service as they served those in need. The project also served in providing the minister knowledge, tools, and resources increasing his effectiveness in practicing ministry in the local congregation. The project enabled the minister to understand that spiritual formation and community service are significantly interrelated as one shares the gospel locally and globally. The project also served the minister by enhancing his spiritual growth and learning that spiritual formation is a lifelong process, which integrates our life and faith stories into God's story of redemption and reclamation of human life in the present and the future."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Miscellaneous"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["4f3e9d5f-fc19-4d44-a264-44b56604eb9a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791127027285229568,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:37:23.343Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T14:41:45Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:49:15Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"2608464a-dcfb-45a9-8f2a-2be997c437f0","accessControl_ssim":["99d1d4f3-45c9-4714-89df-254cbb4524eb"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Using core values to establish one-on-one ministry to make disciples of Christ at Mt.
