The project concluded that preaching and worship are the keys that feed all other keys. The community of faith was by God's design to be an inclusive community.  The growing ethnic diversity in our society today presents a challenge to the local congregation to be intentional in its ministry to incorporate people of diverse cultural and racial experiences into its fellowship.  A congregation to be successful in building an inclusive ministry must first begin to value diversity as a gift of God.  The local congregation can begin to appreciate the ethnic diversity of its members as a gift of God through Bible study, small group sharing, and sermons. Also included was teaching on the nascent church, contemporary churches, and priesthood of believers. The biblical concept, based on the word, 'oikonomia,' traces God's plan of stewardship from creation to living-out Jesus' teachings. Historical and informational STVIM material was combined with the personal experience of the author in leading STVIM teams. The material was evaluated by 55 persons related to STVIM. The data from one hundred clergy and lay leaders reveals that both clergy and lay participate fully in three primary functions of ministry.  Priest's tend to emphasize the ordering and meaning giving functions, while laity emphasize the serving function.  Clergy exercise leadership in the ministries of worship, education, and pastoral care.  Laity lead in the ministries of stewardship, evangelism, and service. Two control groups of 10 people and a training group of 15 were enlisted to participate in the training process.  The object of the project was to move the training group away from the low control group and toward the high control group.  The training strategy used a three pronged approach: students participate in weekly lectures; homework assignments; and experience with a variety of ongoing ministries.
