This project examined six stories of the Bible, exegetically with the intent of preaching the stories narratively.  The practicum was conducted over a six week period evaluated by seven laypersons. The author interviewed fourteen such survivors, male and female, according to an interview schedule designed for breaking silence and raising the issue to public consciousness.  The data reveals that all participants in the project except one were sexually abused in their own childhood homes and most by multiple perpetrators, male and female. The author proves the scriptual validity for church outreach to the upwardly mobile and then explains how a nine-member task force of young adults developed an outreach ministry to this segment in its community through their Sunday School department.  Included is a sociological and psychological study of upwardly mobile baby boomers and the types of churches that successfully reach them. The project was developed through a series of eight two-hour sessions which were designed to provide lay counselors with insight, information, and techniques from theology, psychology, and sociology.  To determine the effectiveness of such a program several methods of evaluation were used, including a pretest and posttest which were evaluated by a two-tailed t-test for correlated groups. The congregation needed to address this issue and the issue of continuing fit of the congregation's vision and the pastor's vision of ministry. A study focused on the congregation's identity by utilizing the narrative of the congregation.  The format of the study was a series of six sessions involving elders and committed members of the church.  It was hypothesized that reflecting on the church's journey of faith in its history could cause the congregation to ponder positive attributes and in turn bolster the congregation's self-esteem, hope, and energy, and contribute to a more responsible and effective expression of the congregation's faith commitments. The director researched the appropriate materials at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary Library and his personal library.  He made research notations and collated the material for use in the model project.  A discipler workshop and a twelve-week training program was implemented among the project participants.
