It deals mainly with the death of a pastor's wife and the pastoral care received during the dying process.  It also includes interviews with ten individuals who experienced the death of a loved one during a period of active ministry to a congregation as a pastor. Participants were required to complete ministry visits and report on their experiences.  Project sessions included testing on the material presented, discussion of the presentations, and evaluations of the individual sessions and the completed project.  The church was involved through a series of sermons presenting basic material from the project.
