Representative biblical, historical, and theological considerations are reviewed in reference to children.  Psychological and sociological factors are summarized.  These include: the influences of home and society, the work of Jean Piaget and Erik Erikson, and the faith development studies of James Fowler, Temp Sparkman, and John Westerhoff. Children afflicted with leprosy were alienated and had an especially hard time adjusting to society.  These children are physically normal but are social outcasts because of such problems as family background, living environment, educational situation, social restrictions, and psychological conflicts or anxieties.  The purpose of this project is to produce a unique educational program for children of leprosy victims in the Yosu Aeyangwon area in Korea. The project tests and evaluates this hypothesis with a sample of six children (3 girls/3 boys) and their pastor.  The project has the pastor meeting with the children in two sessions and using developmentally appropriate materials.  Curriculum includes drawing, Bible story-telling, artistic interaction, use of published literature, and a personal interview with each child participant.
