The small group model includes both a didactic and a creative writing component. The adolescents, in addition to being very expressive about sexuality, gained understanding about the Bible and about sexuality. The author studied the Millennial Generation and their unique spiritual setting. Youth and children led worship monthly, sharing their personal and spiritual selves with the congregation and discovering their own value as full participants in the church.  Each child or youth had an adult 'Pal' with whom to develop a more personal relationship. The Church passes on the Christian faith to its young, but it also receives new and valuable perspectives into its faith from the young. This paper seeks to explore systematically children's insights into the Christian message, drawing on the body of research and reflection accumulated by the international Catechesis of the Good Shepherd movement over the course of the past fifty years. It then asks how children's theology--named 'mustard seed theology'--can be of particular use to preachers. It reports the results of two sets of interactions with preachers around the question.
