The project included an introduction to the ministry need, goals of said ministry project, formulation and implementation procedures, and evaluations.  The project was implemented through a twelve-week divorce recovery workshop, utilizing both outside professional consultants as well as internal pastoral leadership. The vehicles employed to accomplish this task were a sermon series and an eight-week small group study.  The working hypothesis was that a more informed congregation should result in an attitude of greater acceptance of divorced persons in the congregation and in leadership roles.  The implementation of the project produced statistical data supporting the positive effectiveness of the project.
