The project director taught information to the equipping group that he gained through research and interviews with professional counselors.  The equipping group developed a plan of ministry, and the church adopted the ministry plan. Failure to grasp and appreciate these can create unnecessary barriers to meaningful ministry.  This project chiefly used questionnaires to study attributes of divorced members and pastors and ascertain differences in perceptions and propose ways to build bridges to the divorced.  Perceptions do differ as to the impact of internal and external factors influencing divorced decisions and actions.  Successful ministry to the divorced must take into consideration these emotional, social, and spiritual dimensions.
